A pragmatic redesign

Albert Heijn’s iconic Allerhande website needed to be migrated to React. There was no room for a complete UX rethink of the website but it was the perfect excuse for a visual overhaul. And we managed to sneak in some UX improvements along the way after all.

A project with a history

This project had been started and terminated a number of times in the past. Several designers had come and gone. This one was going to finish the job. Starting from what was there, refining, combining and completing the style to come up with a newly defined online brand presence.

Search, filter and find

Finding the right recipe out of nearly 20,000 options is easy as pie with smart suggestions and extensive filtering options.

The main ingredient

In the end, it’s all about the recipes. We created an attractive and clutter-free view to inspire, convince and assist during the cooking process.

Not just recipes

Apart from lots and lots (and lots) of recipes, Allerhande also offers other inspiring video content. About suppliers, products, cooking tips, lessons and much more. A pop-out player allows for multi-tasking with a handy screen-in-screen experience.
